Fishing Regulations in Cedar Island Lake

Special Fishing regulations: This lake has special fishing regulations that differ from statewide or border water regulations for those species identified below and take precedence. Location: Sauk River Chain of Lakes from State Highway 23 Bridge in T.123, R.31, S.24, downstream to the Cold Spring Dam in T.123, R.30, S.23, including connecting waters, Sauk River, and Becker, Horseshoe, Cedar Island, Zumwalde, Great Northern, Schneider, Krays, Bolfing, and Knaus Lakes.

  • Sunfish: Daily limit 10.

Location: Sauk River Chain of Lakes includes: Becker, Bolfing, Cedar Island, Eden, Great Northern, Horseshoe, Knaus, Krays, Long, Mud (Vails), North Brown, Schneider, Zumwalde.

  • Channel and Flathead Catfish: Combined possession limit 10, of which only 2 may be flathead catfish. One over 24” allowed in possession.
