Wabedo Lake Overview

Superb smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing. Muskie are out there as well, but underfished. Bluegill and crappie help round out a great family fishing spot on this four-lake chain.

Fishing Regulations in Wabedo Lake

Special Fishing regulations: This lake has special fishing regulations that differ from statewide or border water regulations for those species identified below and take precedence. Regulations listed below are currently in place. Visit the fishing regulations page for links to upcoming regulations for specific lakes.

  • Northern Pike: All from 24-36” must be immediately released. Possession limit three, only one over 36”.
  • Walleye: All from 18-26” must be immediately released. One over 26” allowed in possession. Possession limit four.

Wabedo Lake Features

The Little Boy Chain includes Wabedo, Little Boy, Rice and Inguadona lakes. Although navigation is possible throughout the chain, shallow water, low bridges and weed growth in the channels can restrict the passage of larger boats. The channel between Little Boy Lake and Wabedo Lake is narrow and the highway bridges have limited vertical and horizontal clearances. Weed growth in the channel between Rice and Little Boy lakes can be very heavy during low-water periods.
