Inguadona Lake Overview

Superb smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing. Muskie are out there as well, but underfished. Bluegill and crappie help round out a great family fishing spot on this four-lake chain.

Fishing Regulations

Special Fishing regulations: This lake has special fishing regulations that differ from statewide or border water regulations for those species identified below and take precedence. Regulations listed below are currently in place. Visit the fishing regulations page for links to upcoming regulations for specific lakes.

Location: Including connected Rice Lake

  • Black and White Crappie: Daily limit five.
  • Sunfish: Daily limit 10.

Features

The Little Boy Chain includes Wabedo, Little Boy, Rice and Inguadona lakes. Although navigation is possible throughout the chain, shallow water, low bridges and weed growth in the channels can restrict the passage of larger boats. The channel between Little Boy Lake and Wabedo Lake is narrow and the highway bridges have limited vertical and horizontal clearances. Weed growth in the channel between Rice and Little Boy lakes can be very heavy during low-water periods.

Forage

White sucker and cisco are utilized heavily by muskie and large northern pike. Largemouth bass target juvenile bluegill, while perch are the preferred forage for walleye. Spottail shiner, bluntnose minnow and golden shiner are also present.

Seasonal Movements

In early spring, there is a pre-spawn movement of northern pike, muskie and walleye into Rice Lake and the shallow channel between Little Boy Lake and Wabedo Lake.
