Pre-Season Intel

Trail Cameras should be going up, minerals already out, and new tree stand locations being schemed. The onX Hunt App has the tools you need to keep your property organized, as well as acting as a detailed record keeper of the intel you work hard to collect all year long. Put these tools to work to help build a plan for opening day.

Connect Your Cams

Trail Camera integration from onX allows you to connect your Bushnell, Exodus, and Covert cellular trail cameras to receive images directly to your Hunt App. You can also manually upload SD images to onX desktop to manage non-cellular cameras.

onX Elite: Near Real-Time Satellite Imagery

Recent Imagery is updated roughly every two weeks allowing you to see changes in the landscape in near real time, as well as historically look back. Watch the land as water levels change, crops come off, leaves drop, management work take shape, and so much more.

The Details Matter

3D Exaggeration was built to find small nuances in the terrain. From natural funnels like saddles and creek drainages to subtle benches and ditches, whitetail use every piece of terrain to their advantage. You should too.

onX Elite: See Through the Trees

Leaf-off imagery allows you to pick out details otherwise unseen. Identify major deer trails, habitat edges, hidden water, and more with highly-detailed leaf-off imagery.

Conditions at a Glance

Optimal Wind allows you to attach what you determine to be favorable wind conditions at each of your stands via a Waypoint. onX will then show you whether you have good, ok, or poor wind conditions at all of your marked stand sites, making stand selection for any given day simple.

Map Entrance/Exit Routes

Using the Tracker to map out exactly how to enter and exit from stand locations will not only allow you to navigate in the dark with confidence you can slip in undetected, but even more valuable, you can share these routes to friends and family so you don’t need to hold their hand or draw them a map and they won’t end up with a frustrating, sweaty walk trying to find the stand.

In-Season Intel

You’ve logged the hours gathering information. Worked your plots. Studied your trail camera images. Set your stands. Now it’s time to take that hard-earned intelligence and put it to use. With tools such as Wind & Weather, Waypoint Sharing, and even an Acorn-Producing Oaks Layer right in the Hunt App, you can work with your information to ensure you’re set up for success as you head into the field.

Change Your Cam Strategy

Deer’s habitats are shifting and your trail camera placements should too. Look towards fresh scrapes, edges of food sources, and pinch points such as fence crossings and natural terrain funnels to catch more bucks. If you haven’t already, connect your Bushnell, Covert, and Exodus cell cameras to the onX Hunt App.

Don’t Get Winded

All the weather data you need is in the Hunt App. Hourly, daily, and weekly forecasts, sunrise and sunset times, barometric pressure by hour, moon phase and more are all at your fingertips.

Hunt Collaboratively

Sharing tree stand locations and access routes with friends and family is easy with onX. Save them frustrating walks in the dark by sharing Waypoints and Tracks, even when you don’t have service.

Forecast Your Next Hunt

Wind Calendar allows you to make a plan when you’re going to hunt next. Do your wife a favor and use the Wind Calendar to put your next hunt on her calendar.

Find Acorns

As fall progresses, the hot food source is nearly ever changing. Use onX to locate oak-predominant areas so when acorns start dropping, your odds of an encounter will increase.

Find Funnels

Using 3D Elevation Exaggeration to distort terrain will help you easily identify natural terrain funnels and pinch points such as saddles, creek drainages and connected ridge systems. These areas should be identified and hunted as the rut draws closer to hunt travel corridors between food sources and bedding areas.
