Overview
Known For
No longer a secret for superior whitetail hunting, Kentucky has earned a reputation as one of the top deer hunting states in the country. In fact, every county in the state has produced a trophy-class whitetail deer.
Terrain
Parts of Kentucky have flat, agricultural land, much like the Midwest. Its northern and western edges are defined by rivers and produce fertile soils. Big forests are found in the central and eastern parts of the state, along with some rugged, mountainous terrain. Central Kentucky has a nice mix of rolling hills, hardwoods, crops, and pastures.
