Find Snowmobile Trails Near You
Switch from Dirt to Snow Mode in your onX Offroad App to see thousands of miles of snowmobile trails across the United States. Tap any purple trail to view trail details including distance and grooming status. Map layers for Avalanche Forecasts, Slope Aspect, and SNOTEL data help locate open riding areas suited for any experience level. Color-coded maps mark inaccessible and wilderness-designated areas so it’s easy to find where you can ride.
Backcountry GPS Navigation Without Cell Coverage
Go ahead and chase that deep snow—with Offline Maps you’ll have fully-functional GPS navigation, regardless of cell coverage, no matter how far you venture off-grid. Navigate using the blue dot from your phone’s internal GPS, and leave a breadcrumb trail along your route with Go & Track. See land ownership boundaries, trail data, and custom Waypoints all while you’re outside coverage.
Ride Smart, Stay Safe With Avalanche Forecasts + Slope Aspect Layers
onX Offroad is the essential planning and navigation tool for backcountry snowmobiling. Make more informed decisions with Avalanche Forecast and Slope Aspect Layers. To scout a riding area, tap the map to read local forecasts and assess the steepness of the terrain using the colored map overlay for angle-degree.
Now With SNOTEL Data for Snow Depth + Recent Storm Totals
Whether you’re exploring a new zone or sledding on home turf, find your ideal backcountry conditions with data reports from 800+ Snowpack Telemetry Station (SNOTEL) right on your map in Snow Mode.
SNOTEL gives you access to reports for the past seven days of snow depth, recent accumulation, temperature, and snow water equivalent so you can make even more informed decisions in the backcountry and go powder hunting with confidence.
Make Your Snow Maps Elite With Private Land Boundaries
Know where you can ride so you can find better snowmobile access with private land boundaries + ownership right in the onX Offroad App. See who owns the property your club’s trail system runs through, or find easements to untouched powder bowls.

Absolutely love this app for snowmobiling. I use it to plan new areas to ride using the different tools to evaluate the technical aspects of the area. It also gives me confidence to explore as I go knowing I can always find my way out. I have relied on it several times in fog or snow storms when the visibility makes visual navigation difficult. I think it is an important safety tool when heading into the backcountry. I never ride without it!

Been using OnX Offroad for almost a year now. We love to find trails near wherever we go or explore areas we know we want to visit. I’ve tried many different apps and none compete with OnX. The offline maps feature is phenomenal as well as being able to see private parcel and public roads. I generally use the hybrid mode to see satellite and topographic lines simultaneously. My phone would overheat with other apps but has been reliable recording with OnX.
