Trail Overview
Starting south of the tiny town of Platoro, Colorado, this trail switchbacks up the mountain on a gradual slope with some small rocks in the trail. The trail has a few navigational turns to maneuver around logs. It goes through wide-open grassy meadows. The trail is pretty narrow, but overall not too rocky. Overall this is a pretty easy trail with no real obstacles. If you ride east to west you'll be going down all the switchbacks, losing 1,100 feet over 2 miles. The trail connects Bancos Road on the east side to Alamosa-Conejos Road on the west side.
