Trail Overview
Most of the trails in the ONF are easy gravel roads, this one included. There isn't much elevation gain or descent on this trail. Even when it rains, the roads don't really get muddy, however, you may find mud puddles or potholes along this road. There are two water crossings, so a car isn't recommended to traverse this trail during the fall and winter months. The depth can vary significantly during these months. There are two campsites along this route which are dispersed with no bathrooms and no cell service. There are lots of pine trees along these roads. Use caution, as there may be some lying across the roads. Use extra caution around water during the summer months as there are cotton-mouth snakes along with rattlesnakes and scorpions. Deer are also present in the forest. During the springtime, hunters with dogs with tracking collars can be seen running free through the forest.
