Trail Overview
Filer Creek Trail is an easy, bi-directional off-road trail located within the Cadillac Forest Management Unit. Most of the trail is a combination of dirt, sand, and grass. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause downed trees, washouts, & mud holes. Since this trail doesn't see a lot of traffic, it contains a decent amount of overgrowth. Therefore, after recent bad weather, downed trees are a high possibility. Come prepared. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. Be sure to enjoy the tall Michigan Red Pine Tree sections along this track! Regardless of the conditions, this is a spectacular trail!
