Trail Overview
Rocky is primarily a dirt trail to begin and later becomes more rock than dirt. There is some minor rutting present with spots showing signs of erosion, expect this to become worse with heavy rains. There are several areas to disperse camp along the route with wide open views for the majority of the trail. The out-and-back trail has some loose rocks and gravel later on after the halfway point as well as some rock gardens with obstacles less than 12". There are a few low-lying ares than have the potential to be shallow water crossings after rain, but may also wash out with heavy rain. Cell service is in and out throughout this entire area being stronger at higher elevations. The trail is mostly single-vehicle wide with a few areas being slightly wider and plenty of room to pass. Towards the end of the track, the foliage changes with fewer small trees and bushes, to more cactus and desert flora. There are several spurs off this trail that go both north and south. The trail does continue on into BLM land, but the distance of the continuation is unknown as overgrowth covered the trail tracks.
