Trail Overview
Forest Road 6355 begins tucked away in the dense forest but eventually opens into a shelf trail along the mountainside, with beautiful overlooks of the surrounding forest. The trail itself is not difficult or technical; 2WD is capable in dry conditions. There are, however, some very narrow sections where the vegetation has overgrown onto the trail and trees are low-hanging from above. Wider vehicles will undoubtedly be brushed and receive pinstripes; a chainsaw for clearing may prove useful. Beyond those dense sections, the trail widens back up and offers expansive views for miles and miles. There are posted warning signs regarding the burned area-be cautious in times of high winds and heavy rain. The area is unmaintained (closed) in the winter and early spring. There is no cell service.
