Trail Overview
This is the main trail from the parking behind Fishpond Lake. It connects all other trails currently in the marked system. The trail is mostly dirt; expect a lot of standing water even in the summer, occasional tight switchbacks, and short climbs. This trail leads to Trail 6 which eventually wraps back around to the parking lot.

Difficulty
Some of the trail is dozer-cut, while other sections are old logging and mining bench cuts. Expect ruts, rocks, and short steep slopes, but it is navigable with any stock vehicle by a slightly above-beginner driver or rider.
History
Fishpond Lake was created by an old Coal Mining operation. A lot of the trails and benches used for the trails were originally mining and logging roads.
