Trail Overview

You'll find a couple of small water crossings on this easy trail. It will be slippery when wet or snowy. It's right off of a gravel road and takes you to some very nice ponds. It does have couple of steep hills with ruts and is narrow. Full-size vehicles will fit but you may get some scratches.

This trail would have definitely been more fun while muddy, it was bone dry when I went. Do not even attempt the north part of the trail, it's too narrow for a truck and you will get plenty of pin stripes. Go onto dawley cemetery once you reach it, don't try and continue on James road!

Was told the west part was too narrow for a truck so skipped it. But the rest of the road had more than enough room for a mid size truck to drive through and the little mud playgrounds along the road were really fun. Used Auto mode all the way, no need for 4low.

Loosely maintained road, gravel most the way with some ruts but easy in 2wd the whole time, may be a different story after a rain though it was very dry today

There was a truck blocking the trail (in front of the second picture) It was left abandoned around the ponds between James and Brady road. I let DNR know, so hopefully they’ve got it removed this week. Still had some fun and got some camping in!
