Trail Overview
This section of Beaver Creek serves as a portion of the Michigan Cross Country Cycle Trail (MCCCT). It is one of the newest sections of single track in the state of Michigan. This section of Beaver Creek MCCCT was re-routed in 2021 and officially opened to the public in May 2022. The individuals who helped create this new trail boast that they didn't cut a single tree as they navigated a dense section of underbrush and new growth. Navigating through this section of the trail is a challenge for most riders. There are several spots where the trees are closer together than stock handlebars. There are a lot of hairpin turns, low visibility, and generally tight lines from start to finish. Bark busters or handguards are highly suggested, and if possible, a radiator fan as well. Speeds are slow in this section and some bikes will not get enough airflow to naturally keep the motors cool.
