Trail Overview
This short out and back leads to quite a few locked gates with plenty of options to proceed on foot beyond. You can even camp in one of a few dispersed camping spots to make your base camp for hiking. If you prefer to be closer to the creek and have the sound machine going all night, there's a spot for that. The trail is mostly easy, with evidence of deep ruts when it's wet. There is some heavy evidence of forest clearing for fire management, so be aware of sharp sticks in some brush piles on the road. One bar of LTE service fades to none. No winter maintenance.
