Trail Overview
This trail is a lovely out-and-back run into the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. It is a wide gravel dirt trail with a few potholes but generally is in good condition. There are a handful of dispersed campsites near the beginning down short offshoot trails, and one even appears to have creek access. This section is a burn area from an old forest fire; signs recommend being cautious around the trees. Dispersed camping ends at the Lola Creek Campground, where the wilderness area begins. The trail runs along Lola Creek just after the campground, and it's worth stopping to get out and explore. Several hiking trailheads are at the end of this trail, and more information on the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness.
