Difficulty

Difficult. This trail is extreme. Several obstacles have no easy lines and rock-stacking is frowned upon. A very skilled driver can do it with 35-inch tires, lockers, a winch and good articulation, but only if the easiest lines are taken. Do not attempt alone.

Access Description

From Grand Junction, head west on Highway 340 about 1 mile. Turn left on Monument Road and then turn left again on D Road. D Road eventually turns south and becomes Rosevale Road. Turn right on Little Park Road and then drive another 4.2 miles to Third Flats Trailhead on your left.
