Trail Overview
This trail is an easy drive through the Manistee National Forest. There are some dispersed camping sites along the trail. It is possible to access the trail from both sides. From the west side of the trail, you can access it from East River Road, and from the southeast side, you can access it by way of East Madison Road. Driving along the trail you will have some rolling hills that are fun to drive. The trail is two vehicles wide in most areas and has a sand/gravel base. You can turn this trail into an afternoon if you check out some of the spur trails in the area. Overall this is a great trail to get the Manistee National Forest experience with camping along the trail and some of the more technical spur trails.
