Trail Overview
This bumpy out and back provides excellent access to the north shore fee area for camping and water activities. The trail's end features many great spots with shady trees, nice places to camp, pit toilets, and easy-sloping shorelines to load in small watercraft. A few of the campsites even have charcoal grills for your enjoyment. There are better routes than this for campers and motor homes. This route is more narrow and fun, with one steep loose hill climb and descent through a wash and some rocky areas. Otherwise, the trail is mostly rocky, with annoying washboard. There is room for vehicles to pull out and pass here and there. Better access for large vehicles and trailers is from the main camping area on the easy-graded route. There are two bars of Verizon 5G service.
