Trail Overview

This 5.1-mile point-to-point trail connects the Manastash Divide Area Trailhead and campground to the Milk Creek Area, Funny Rocks and Moon Rocks OHV areas. This trail winds through the Wenatchee National Forest. Tree roots, rocks, and mud holes are found throughout this trail. Several narrow passes between trees have the potential to cause damage to mirrors, fenders, and tires.

Status Reports

We went to recover a vehicle stuck on this trail. The buggy and rock crawlers call this a 3 in difficulty for them. For road vehicles it is a least a 5. All of our vehicles suffered damage. We pulled winches 3 times and suffered 3 blown beed flats. The first obstacle, shown in the pics, is a deeply chambered set of switchbacks with big trees and rock obstacles, at 20 to 30 degree slope. Doing it in a full size rig is double with care.

This part of the trail was more difficult than CJR’s still doable with a bone stock bronco but definitely some touch and go moments

Not sure who decided it was a 3. At night, I’d say 4-5 given Washington’s lighter scale. There are definitely some pucker factor descents, and a couple of decent shelves as well as ruts and roots throughout. Extremely dusty. Definitely tight in spots.
