Trail Overview
This two-mile portion of Kilchis River Forest Road is used as a spur to access a nearby waterfall while exploring the area. Kilchis Falls is a tall, misty waterfall, found on the winding back roads of the Tillamook State Forest. While it stands at an impressive 100 feet tall, it's not a particularly strong waterfall, flowing lightly even in winter. It has a shallow pool at the bottom that makes a great place to splash around in the summer heat. There is room for a few cars to park along the road to access the falls, but there really isn't enough room to camp at the falls and allow others to enjoy it. The steep access road winds through recent logging operations where numerous abandoned landing pads now make for easy group camping spots with views across the Kilchis River drainage.
