Trail Overview
White Oak Mountain is a beautiful scenic drive with amazing views of the valley and the Ouachita National Forest. White Oak Mountain sits at an elevation of 2,005 feet, There is a small campsite up near the radio towers. Right near the mountain, there is a picnic table that's seen better days but has a beautiful view of the southern mountain ranges. There is an immense system of off-roading trails to explore while in this area. There are dispersed campsites with fire rings but no restrooms or running water. The best time of year to explore the Ozark's is during the spring, fall and winter. The leaves changing bring about photographers to capture the rainbow of colors you find in spring and Fall. You will also find little waterfalls all along this route so keep an eye out. Steep drop off's and possible washed out roads during heavy rainfall can occur. If you plan a trip here during the summer make sure to bring the bug spray and watch your step as there are many snakes in these forests.
