Trail Overview

This is a fun and fairly easy trail if you are looking for a light adventure. There are scenic views of the Rocky Mountains, a climbing area, a thick pine/larch forest, and destinations on either end of the trail. Bring a saw as there is a potential for tight sections. The Perry Creek Climbing Area is on this trail. There is a small parking area for about 6 vehicles and a washroom. We drove this in the winter and saw many tracks of foxes, coyotes, elk, deer, and wolves.

Difficulty

The trail is fairly easy. The only notable places are a road deactivation that can be easily navigated by a stock vehicle 4x4, and a mud hole that changes in difficulty based on the season. Early spring during the melt, it can be up to 3 ft deep, but when it is dry in the summer, it is a fun easy obstacle. In the winter, it freezes the top layer, but flowing water keeps the ice thin. There is a bypass around it for those who are not willing.
