Trail Overview
This is a fun and easy ATV trail with a few challenges that starts right at Lake Elsie Campground. The trail has a few steep climbs with a few roots and a couple of wide switchbacks, and it rides on a shelf ledge for part of it. There is a small and shallow creek crossing that is easy, and there are a few reroutes around old downed logs that have never been cut. The forest here is really humid and dense, and it stays in the shade for much of the trail which is nice, and goes past a pond. This trail is a good practice trail for beginners or kids since it goes right from the campground with no big obstacles. There are several other ATV trails right in this area of similar difficulty to explore and play around in. The campground has a few spots for smaller rigs right on the water, and a pit toilet.
