Eureka Peak

Trail is very easy and only took 1 hour. This trail can be done with 2wd. Theres a few washboard sections and some small rain ruts. Mostly dirt and sand trail but some small rocks on the trail. Nice view at the top with some parking.

seeing the beauty of the Lower Covington flats, stunning Joshua trees all around and an unforgettable viewpoint of the Coachella valley, this trail was one of the easiest and most rewarding for someone who doesn't go trailing often. Lots of space once you get to the sharp turn to the right, then it becomes a 1 vehicle lane but still wide enough to run through worry free. There are some small dry rivers cutting through the trail that take you by surprise so be sure you slow down for those. A small portion of this trail has about ~50 feet of harsh terrain, including rocks, deep dips and uneven terrain but once you pass those obstacles it is smooth sailing to the top.

Beginner friendly and not a huge problem for dirt bikes, ADV’s etc. Saw a bunch of stock Toyota’s and Jeep’s all make it easily. A few deeper sand tracks on the access road towards the trail are the “hardest” sections. Have fun!
