Trail Overview
Going southwest to northeast, this short ATV trail starts with a really steep and long hill climb up a very rocky path. It has tons of loose rock and the trail is a bit troughed, making it tricky to pick the high points above the trough while in tight trees with branches hitting you. It gets on top of a wide-open ridge line overlooking the whole mountain range. As you go back downhill into another tree section, there are a few rocky drop-offs that would be more technical for an ATV. The next downhill has some more troughs with small dirt/rock ledges that would definitely be tricky on an ATV, but on a dirt bike, you can pick a good line around the drop-offs. There are a few downed logs throughout the trail that have been cut for dirt bikes, but they aren't quite wide enough cuts for an ATV. A couple of logs are extending over half of the trail that dirt bikes can skirt around, and there are a few more logs down at the north end of the trail that can be ridden over. This trail is mostly used by dirt bikers to access the Dam Ridge Singletrack that starts at the end of this trail and would be an out-and-back for any ATVer.
