Trail Overview
Headed north off the Christmas Valley Highway to explore. The road goes through some very deep and muddy puddles, through sagebrush, and eventually the East border of the Christmas Valley Sand Dunes. There are many access points to the dunes from the east side. We stayed on the rocky road, and it led into the beautiful Lost Forest. This is a 40-acre ancient stand of Ponderosa Pines. Very cool place out in the middle of nowhere. Many places to get out and explore and for dispersed camping.

Difficulty
The road was very muddy the first few miles and you would need a 4wd to get through it. Water was over a foot deep in some places. There were roads around most puddles. The terrain then changed to more of a rocky road that would need decent clearance.
