Trail Overview

This section of the Middle Elk Meadow Trail is slightly more difficult than Part 1 due to a rockier surface, some small washouts, and lots of really low branches to watch out for sticking out over the trail. It winds in and out of a gravel wash with some loose rocks, and climbs out of the wash onto a rockier, narrow single track and connects to Wallace Canyon Road. There are no significant obstacles and has great views of the snow-capped Spring Mountains to the east in the winter. Although the trail isn't marked, it's easy to follow, being in the wash the entire way, but it's best to have GPS in this area to connect to the rest of the trails in the area.
