Trail Overview

This trail traverses through a beautiful area of the Manistee National Forest. The surface is mostly dirt with some areas that are sandy or rocky. Throughout the trail, cell service will be hard to come by. There aren't any dispersed campsites along the path as it is mostly thick woods. There are some deep rutted mud pits along the trail that are 24 inches deep or more. These areas can be very muddy and challenging if there has been a lot of recent rainfall. Though the majority of mud pits have a bypass, careful driving will be required to avoid slipping into the holes. It is also necessary to drive over some nasty tree roots and rocks during some of the short hill climb sections.
