Trail Overview
Sandy Pipeline Run is a fun open trail with loose sand and hill climbs if going south. Most of the loose sand is at low points in the trail or along the hill climbs, making it a fun straight run. As you travel further south, most of the deep loose sand changes to packed sand and gravel. The North/South Pipeline Run intersects many other forest roads and OHV trails. Caution should be taken when approaching the well-marked intersections. Watch for wildlife crossing on this one. When passing through, we had a deer jump out in front of us with a narrow miss. There were also many fresh tracks of deer and black bears in the sand.
