Trail Overview
Trail 1 is the main access trail in the Interlake Off-Road State Recreation Area and is a loop that starts/stops at the first parking area inside the park. It is mostly rock/hard pack and can be traveled in about any weather. There are several other trails off to the sides of varying difficulty, as well as a few challenges along Trail 1. One of the most popular and challenging hill climbs is along this trail and can be taken as an alternative to the easy path. There are a couple of "scenic outlooks" along the trail overlooking ponds, some hiking trails, and a couple of picnic areas. It's bi-directional and multi-use.

Difficulty
The trail is mostly hard pack, rock, and shale. It does get some washouts with rain, but holds up well to most weather conditions. It has a few tight turns and rough spots but is a good beginner trail.
