Trail Overview

Enter this trail from the south off Highway 97 on Stewart Lake Road. This route has about 8 kilometers of pavement but turns to gravel/dirt/muddy/sandy road. It will eventually take you to Stewart Lake Recreational Site where you can camp, fish, boat, and explore. However, numerous different roads branch off, making the backcountry endless. There are great clearings and transmission cut lines for hunting, ATVs, snowmobiles, and dirt bikes.

Difficulty

In perfect weather, the roads are very dusty but have several washboards, ruts, and sandy spots. When it is wet, the road conditions become very slippery, and deep rutting in many locations on the route can cause a challenge to a car/SUV.
