Trail Overview
This short single track in the Gunnison National Forest is accessed from the south off of a very steep jeep road (Willow Creek Mine Road). The 1-mile trail meanders through the pine tree forest, but slowly loses elevation all the way down until it intersects with Bear Gulch trail in a meadow. It's very gradual, only losing 150 feet of elevation. The narrow trail goes through some really cool aspens that have a curvy nature to them and has a couple of small logs to cross. It does some side-hilling too, and has some rocky sections with embedded big rocks, and overgrown grass. The Willow Mine is visible from the jeep road before starting the trail from the south and is neat to check out.
