Trail Overview
Tomahawk is a 3.3-mile-long ATV trail in Rampart Range that is easy the whole way. It's easy because it's really wide with no obstacles. It's on a pea-gravel surface that can be a bit slippery at times, and there are a few troughs to watch out for. The trail is braided at times when there are ruts. The hardest part about this trail is how many whoops it has. The whoops are really big and repetitive. Riding south to north, it goes steadily downhill 900 feet of elevation for the first 2 miles, then back up 400 feet in the last mile. The hills and descents are easy and not very steep.
