Trail Overview
The Olsen Canyon trail is accessed by turning right onto South Hollow Road from East Canyon Road, about a mile East of Mayfield, UT. Be prepared for rocks and lots of them. The trail is an advanced trail with areas of ruts and loose rocks. It is not recommended for leisurely trail rides. This is a great trail for those looking for a challenge, some fun and excitement. The vegetation in the lower elevations is predominately sage brush, oak and mahogany. As. you gain in elevation, the vegetation turns into grasses, pine and aspen trees. Less rocky areas of the trail exist at higher elevations. These ares can be accessed by connecting trails. Look for wildlife along the trail.
