Trail Overview
Upon reaching Colonet via Highway One, take a right turn before the bridge, marking the beginning of your venture along the dirt road. This path will lead you alongside the wash, ultimately guiding you to the beach. Initially, the road runs above the wash, characterized by washboard-like ridges spanning the first few miles. Should you possess a 4WD vehicle and proficiency in maneuvering through sand, an alternative option involves transitioning into the wash to bypass the washboards. However, be prepared for encounters with deep sand if you opt for this route. Continuing on, the road gradually gets smoother as you depart from the small town, traversing through ranches and farmlands. Eventually, you'll come across a lengthy meadow that eventually gives way to the magnificent expanse of the Pacific Ocean. This picturesque journey concludes upon reaching the shoreline, allowing you to bask in the coastal serenity.
