Trail Overview
This trail offers a refreshing detour from the monotony of the highway en route to San Felipe, providing a taste of the Score Baja race track. Accessible from Mexico 5, it swiftly immerses you in 30-inch deep, undulating silt whoops, offering a primer for navigating former race sections common to the peninsula. Maintain a slow pace, even though the silt lends itself to a smooth ride. Amidst the journey, expect sightings of jackrabbits, diverse lizards, and snakes in the hot season, complemented by the scenic presence of desert cacti and flora. Approximately 5 miles in, the trail veers sharply off the beaten track, guiding you on a firm, packed ride back to Highway 5, treating you to a panoramic vista of the Sea of Cortez below.

Difficulty
While not overly challenging, tackling this route is best done with large tires, ample clearance, and the capacity to adjust tire pressure for navigating potentially deep silt sections. Keep an eye out for sharp rocks once you veer off the main track. It's advisable to steer clear of this trail during the Baja 250 event, typically held in late March.
