Trail Overview
This Trail starts past the Skyline sign and heads up the hill to the right. The first hill is steep and rocky. If wet it can be slick. It continues up the side of the mountain and levels off for around half a mile. The trail has some areas that can hold water and have some sandy mud. The trail meets the start of Tates cove trail and turns to the right where the elevation climbs. This part of the trail is mostly dirt with some areas of larger slick rock that stick up and make step-ups in places. About halfway there is a steep rutted hill that can be very slick in the rain. This section should be taken with caution as there are deep washouts on both sides of the trail. Once past these, the trail eases up and there are a few spots to pull off and hike the areas and take pictures.

Difficulty
This is an overall 3/4 trail but went with the higher rating due to the few areas that can be a challenge when wet and due to the steepness of the incline.
