Trail Overview

This trail has many different terrain types across the entire length of the trail. It starts at the top of Evans Ridge Trail and you will North on mostly a dirt surface. This changes quickly as you are heading up the trail to a surface of slick rock that can have 12"- 18" drop-offs in places as you head down the mountain. Once to the bottom of the mountain on the lower portion of the trail, it is back to a mostly dirt surface with some areas of loose rock and mud. There are up to three water crossings depending on the time of year that can get up to 3' deep during times f heavy rain but mostly under 18" deep. The last third of the trail is back up the mountain and consists of many loose rock areas along with steep climbs and large loose stones. This trail ends at an area that was washed out by a landslide and blocked until the area can be repaired but there are many great views.
