Trail Overview
Looking for a place to cool off but still be close to civilization? This one's for you. USFSR #519A Interstate is exactly what is says. It is a good spot for a quick picnic in the intense Alabama summers. It runs parallel to I20, and close to the AL HWY 281 Overpass. The traffic hums as it flows by, but is a short, off the beaten path trail mostly covered and in the shade. This trail is listed as open year round as an open trail on the Motor Vehicle Use Map. However, there is a USFS gate blocking the trail, this could simply be for the private property at the end of the trail in which it dead ends into. There are a few mud holes but most are shallow with hard bottoms.
