Trail Overview
This trail is perfect for beginners and is relatively smooth, with shady roads and a small water crossing. It's pretty scenic and relaxing. Camping is available, but there was a fire restriction when I was there in mid-July. The area has several lakes for boating and swimming. Also, there is no cell service. Access is from the Bowman Lake area via CA 20 (off Int. 80) or Hwy 89 from Truckee, CA.
