Trail Overview

The first part of the trail is paved. About 2/3rds of the way in, it becomes rocky and dirty. High clearance is recommended. There is one tricky hairpin about 1 mile from camp. Other than that, it is a relatively easy track. The last bit is super nice because you are driving right along the lake and you get some amazing views.

Most of it is unmentioned forrest road, but there are sections where it get rocky. They are not tricky, but you just cant blast through them. There is also one hairpin that is a tad tricky and visibility on the right line is a bit tough. This is a lot easier if you have a high clearance 4x4, is doable with a stock 4x4.

Easy, loose rocks from time to time on the trail. Parked at Lindsey Lake rd and rode back towards Feeley and then out to Bowman lake & onto McMurry and Weaver lake. Passed a few groups of trucks but plenty of room to pull over.

Dusty easy trail with great views.

this trail use to a little fun with some slight rocky and bumpy dip a couple months ago when I came here but now it look like they recently flatten it out. 2 of the 2 foot climb been fill in and smooth out. the trail is pretty much became a level 1-1.5. the rock garden to the bowman boat launch at the camp site been leveled out and made into another entrance.. the road from bowman all the way to faucherie lake been level out so most stock vehicle can make it.

We arrived late Friday afternoon and stayed through Sunday morning. Saturday got a little busy, but finding a campsite was still a breeze. I was cruising in a mid-travel Tundra, and let me tell you—it was smooth sailing. To top it off, we even passed a Prius parked at one of the campsites, which made me smile. Not bad for a weekend getaway!
