Trail Overview
Gilbert Ridge (28E213) is a singletrack dirt bike trail that is suitable for all riders in the Inyo National Forest. Fast and flowy, it twists and turns under Gilbert Peak and leads to Dry Creek. When riding the trail from south to north, it is almost entirely downhill. This trail is only open to dirt bikes, and there are gates at each end with width restrictions. Due to the dense nature of trails in this area, the trail is interrupted by crossing several main trails, as well as by the 28E213A connector. Take care when crossing other trails, and watch out for riders in the other direction. It's important to keep in mind when riding at 8,000 feet that your bike and body may behave differently than at sea level.

Difficulty
The only difficulty associated with this trail is the loose ground that this area is well known for, and the tight squeezes that the trail provides through trees and other obstacles. Riding in the uphill direction (north to south) is also slightly more challenging.
