Trail Overview

This Forest Service road rises 500 feet into the lush forest. Parts of the trail are dirt with a few short, small, rocky sections. The main hazards are ruts on the sides of the trail created from running snowmelt and rainwater. If you are lucky you will encounter deer; it falls in the migration path of thousands of deer. There is also a mine you can explore off one of the side trails. This road can be impassable during winter and early spring before the snow melts. There are many stunning views of the White Mountains as well as the eastern Sierra Mountains.
