Los Burros

Part of the forest service erosion closure. Hasn’t been open for a couple of years. Secured by a locked gate, only residents are allowed through. Likely won’t open until after July 2025 if no new erosion occurs.

Drove up to the trail and disappointed to see a closed gate but it was unlocked. As we were turning around to leave, someone was driving down to open the gate and exit. We asked if we were allowed to go on the trail. She said some parts are private and some parts are federal. Also no one is allowed up there and it's been closed for over a year and they don't know when they will allow people up there again. She didn't sound too convincing honestly. Not sure if it was just someone that didn't want people going on the trail so not sure if its officially closed.

The gate is locked and no way to go inside from any other trails. It’s said it’s closed all 2024 for “a re- forest” project but it’s unsure when it’ll open again. Locals with property on the trail have keys but they aren’t too big with off roading there. If you can convince them to open up the gate for you then you’re good but aside from that it’s locked.
