Trail Overview

The trail starts at the north end with a hard-packed dirt road. It passes through an open meadow before coming to a massive, open, dispersed camping area with many fire rings. It then continues south until it links up with the old railroad grade. This section is a "choose your own adventure" area, as one could run the grade itself or the trail that parallels the old grade. The grade itself has sharp larger rocks, while the side trail can be muddy, washed out, and have steep transitions. Then the trail links up with the new tracks and follows along with them for a time, passing another dispersed camping area. There is 1 bar of Verizon LTE service in and out.
