Trail Overview
When you turn off the pavement, you'll see a few hand-built fire rings off the trail as you adventure through the Plaster City OHV Open Riding Area. The trail is fairly easy for the first 4 miles if you are coming in from the 8 Freeway. There are a lot of bumps varying in size and shape, as well as wash crossings that require you to keep a slower speed throughout the trail ride. You will pass by different scenery, from barren desert to hills, and end near the wilderness area in the Anza Borrego park. Make sure to keep an eye out for the Coyote Mountains Wilderness signs to the west of the trail since that area is not for motorized use.

Difficulty
There are some really rutted parts that require good approach and departure angles, as well as a need for 4-low in certain areas. The trail itself is pretty easy for a stock 4x4 vehicle, however, the weather has caused severe washouts that now have a bypass in order to cross them.
