Trail Overview

This easy tour takes you through the non-alpine area southeast of Buena Vista. This is a good chance to see what the backcountry looks like east of the Collegiate Range. You will pass through National Forest, private forests, wide open grazing land, ranches, cabins, and even a taste of civilization. Perhaps a quarter of the run is paved, and the rest is well-graded. Enjoy an easy day.
