Trail Overview
This trail offers some amazing views of Kings Canyon and the Little Dolores Canyon. Colorado National Monument is in this area, so you'll want to take your time do drive through this as well. It is a fee area. You can find some great camping along the way, and unlicensed vehicles are permitted. There is a staging area just before the trailhead.

I have not tried but it looks like trail can still be accssesed usuing Little Dolores Road
