Trail Overview

This trail is rocky with some deep ruts for about the first Mile then it gets easier. There are a few sections at the beginning that are rocky after that and some areas that are narrow and hard to pass oncoming traffic. Some of the switchbacks are tight and will require some maneuvering to get around.

snowy. i got to a point i couldnt continue. large mouguls or camel backs? not sure what to call them, but i couldnt get enough traction with all the snow. i probably could have tried a couple thing so get across, but a novice and was first time on this trail wasnt sure if tril got harder so i reversed and eventually turned around.

It’s like what people say about this trail in the description, however, there is one part lower in the valley, near the marsh that is starting to wash away, and is at a tilt and it is super slippery

Agree with other report that this should be marked one-way. Started from Boreas Pass side and the trail is not wide enough for anyone to pass by should you encounter someone coming the opposite direction. For almost the whole trail would have to back up a considerable amount to let someone pass. Some fun switch backs with a one or two challenging lines which gave my kids a thrill or two. Not a lot of views to be had as you're mostly in evergreen forest the whole time but it does open up in the last little bit and has some decent views.

Trail should be one way. Had someone came the other way it could have been a very long dangerous backup to find a spot to pass. We came down from Boreas Pass and just saw one person in a jeep going same direction…down the mountain. Very fun beautiful drive, just always worried about someone coming the other way as a very large part of it is barely single vehicle, you will add some scratches to your ride from brush.
